Igneous studies in SE Asia

Much of the Indonesian and Philippine archipelagos are constructed from Cenozoic igneous rocks and a full appreciation of the development of the region requires a good understanding of these rocks. With the support of Consortium members, we are currently establishing a programme to date and study the chemistry of rocks from key locations in SE Asia with the aim of addressing various geological problems. These studies employ cutting-edge geochemical technology available at RHUL and Durham University.
